Yelena Välbe had an official meeting with The Governor of Kuzbass Sergey Tsivilev, they discussed the prospects of organizing the All-Russian training sports centre for skiers and the infrastructure of sports facilities for holding the Winter Children of Asia Games.
Cross-country skiing competitions will take place at Lokomotiv Skiing Base in Kemerovo.
To test sport facilities and the courses, Kemerovo will host the championship of the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts in cross-country skiing on 24-29 January 2023.
Sergey Tsivilev pointed out that:
- more than 6000 athletes train skiing at sports schools, there are 72 working skiing bases in the region;
- together with amateur lovers more than 135000 citizens of Kuzbass go skiing, 300 of them have sports categories.
