Hockey players from Uzbekistan have completed their training in Kuzbass.

The Uzbekistan National U-15 Ice Hockey team's training sessions in Kuzbass were part of preparations for the upcoming 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games.

The Uzbekistan delegation consisted of 21 hockey players born in 2007-2008 and two coaches. Training sessions were held at two Kemerovo’s sports venues: the Kuzbass Ice Palace and the Kemerovo Ice Arena. Artem Reznik was the head coach of the training session. He is an experienced coach from Kuzbass and played for the hockey teams Energiya (Kemerovo) and Ufa.

"This is the first time our junior teams participate in such training camps abroad. The boys have become 'pioneers', so to say. The visit to Kuzbass was important for us in terms of the training process and gaining game experience. It was very precious. Our boys do their best in the training camp and at training sessions. We are happy to take part in the Children of Asia Games, which is quite a large-scale competition for Uzbekistan," says Artur Fakhrutdinov, the head coach of The Uzbekistan National U-15 Ice Hockey team.

As part of the training session, the Uzbekistan team played three warm-up matches: against the Kuzbass united team, against the Kemerovo team Energiya and against the trainees of the Metallurg Children and Youth Olympic Reserve School (Novokuznetsk).

Sergey Myaus, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of Kuzbass, met with the athletes from Uzbekistan. The boys shared their impressions of the training camp and said that they would definitely come to Kuzbass again. The guests had a very rich excursion program. They visited the Munira mosque and the Kazan Cathedral in Kemerovo. They also saw Evgeniy Plushenko's show Union of Champions, which was held in the Kuzbass Ice Palace, visited the famous museum-reserve Tomskaya Pisanitsa, as well as the Kuzbass Museum of Local Lore and the museum-reserve Krasnaya Gorka, and took a city tour of Kemerovo.
