The Russian Post will deliver 3,000 postcards with the mascot of the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games

Participants and spectators of the Opening ceremony mailed almost 3,000 paper cards. This opportunity was provided to delegations of neighboring regions and foreign countries by the Russian Post. The postcrossing station was opened at Kuzbass Ice Palace.

Specially for the event, organizers have printed a limited edition of designer postcards picturing the official mascot of the Games, lynx cub Tikhonya. Anyone had a chance to sign a card and immediately mail it to family or friends.

“Support and development of various sports, promoting sports, especially among children, is a high priority for our company. That is why we were pleased to join the initiative of the Kuzbass Regional Center of Sports Facilities who is the Games operator in Kuzbass and to set a location for mailing free postcards”, said Konstantin Mazurov, Director of the Russian Post Department of the Kemerovo Region.

Most of the postcards were mailed by participants and spectators in the Kemerovo Region. Cities of Yakutsk and Vladivostok, Primorskiy Region and cities of Siberia were also among the most popular destinations. Fewer postcards with the Games mascot were addressed to Moscow city and Moscow Region, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Samara, and other regions. The guests of the ceremony send several cards to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Lithuania and Germany.

The outcome of our effective cooperation with the Russian Post is 200,000 envelopes with the Children of Asia Games symbols. They are already available at post offices. The envelopes picture the logo of the forthcoming competitions — an athlete styled as a hieroglyph. The athlete is holding the emblem of the Children of Asia International Committee”, told us Vladislav Nefyodov, Director of the Kuzbass Regional Center of Sports Facilities.
