More than 2.2 million people watched the Opening Ceremony of the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games

On February 25, the broadcast of the Games’ Opening Ceremony was conducted by the federal sports channel Match TV, which became the official broadcaster of the competition.

The ceremony included the raising of the Russian flag, the parade of delegations of the Games participants, the Taking off to Victory ice show with participation of two-time Olympic champion Evgeny Pluschenko, young athlete Aleksandr Pluschenko, and Olympic medalist Aleksandra Trusova. Spectators watched a musical show on ice with sports, circus and plastics performances.

Alexey Yagudin, Olympic champion, and Natalia Litovko, famous TV presenter, became the hosts of the event. There were more than 5 thousand people in the stands.

"The organized live broadcast made it possible for even more people to witness the grandiose celebration of sports", said Aleksey Puzynin, Head of the 2023 Children of Asia Games Directorate.

The main media center of the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games operates in the Kuzbass Ice Palace. Press center offices have been established in all the cities hosting the Games. In total, more than 500 representatives of federal and regional mass media from Russia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Belarus have been accredited to the Games. In the host cities, more than 200 employees of the National Sports TV Channel are engaged in the production of broadcasts.
