The decision to admit the team was made by the Children of Asia Games International Committee.
Viktor Lukashenko, The President of the NOC (National Olympic Committee) of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Maksimov, the President of the Children of Asia Games International Committee, had a working meeting. The prospects for the participation of the Belarusian team were discussed. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
The Belarusian delegation may include up to 70 athletes in such sports as hockey, snowboarding, ski jumping, cross-country skiing, figure skating, speed skating and alpine skiing.
"This year, the Summer Games were held, which were held under the patronage of the IOC (International Olympic Committee). We are open to dialogue and welcome any interest in the development of children's sports. The leadership of the Committee adheres to a clear position that children should not suffer because of various kinds of political crises", said Vladimir Maksimov.
